SMF Our Story - Catch and Tow Tuna


Our Southern Bluefin Tuna (SBT) are caught in the Great Australian Bight with a Purse Seine net. The live caught SBT are then transferred to the towing cage and are brought back by the towing vessel to our farm site. To maintain a high standard of quality our experienced staff oversee the catching and towing operations at all stages.

We view towing to be one of our most crucial parts of the operation. We ensure that our fish arrive to the farm site in good condition, which allows us to continually improve the quality.
